Fraud detection expert - Fully Remote
đ¨đ˝âđťWhat youâll be doing (i.e. job duties):
- Be the main technical counterpart for the subcontractor team responsible to design, train and deploy the fraud scoring models
- Supervise the subcontractor for all aspects related to the fraud scoring models
- Acquire expertise and experience to progressively be involved in the design and the training of the fraud scoring models and rules
- Ensure that fraud scoring and identification performance is maintained within predefined parameters.
- Conduct data analysis on transactional data and detection system data; identify trends, anomalies and emerging risks in order to adjust EPIâs tactical responses.
- Respond quickly to high-risk situations, especially in case of a significant fraud event, requiring âstop the bleedingâ actions .
- Monitor, watch and identify changing fraud trends
- Collaborate with the EPI engineering teams
- Collaborate with the EPI Scheme team responsible for fraud rules and policies, fraud prevention, fraud management, and fraud prosecution
- Act as a domain expert in Fraud Risk to advise business strategies across the Payments lifecycle and provide deep subject matter expertise
- Develop trusted advisor relationships within and outside EPI
- Contribute to the expansion of Fraud Scoring Services, partnering with the teams responsible for Product engineering & Scheme
- Ensure consistency, standards & quality control of Fraud Scoring/Identification methodologies
- Prepare periodic reports on fraud scoring performance and other metrics to inform various business and risk stakeholders in their decision making.
- Prepare or review KPI allowing to assess the performance of the subcontractor, participate to performance review meeting, and generally contribute to the vendor management processes

đľđťââď¸What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Expertise in Data science, AI, and deep learning, applying these skills for fraud identification and fraud scoring
- Experience with IBM Safer Payments, or with other fraud prevention tools
- Experience in supervised and semi-unsupervised anomaly detection
- Knowledge of and experience with unsupervised methods, such as âk-meansâ, âisolation forestâ and âsubspace clusteringâ
- Knowledge of and experience with supervised methods such as âlogistic regressionâ, ârandom forestâ, âgradient boosting machineâ, and âXGboostâ
- Excellent self-management
- Strong ability to build efficient relations, to collaborate and to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to propose improvements in processes and way of working, when relevant
- Sound knowledge and understanding of public cloud operations
- Knowledge of Agile methods, CI/CD based engineering and DevOps processes is a plus
- Business hours will be based on European Standard Time. Must be willing to be on-call during night and weekends.
