A bit of context to let you figure out where we are standing right now: the EPI Certification and Approval Framework has been developed by the internal Scheme Management Team, to define the roles needed to run the Framework, the processes to be followed by these roles, the certification and approval objects of the EPI Certification and Approval, and the functional and security requirements to be met by these certification and approval objects. Currently, several EPI teams (Operations, Product, and Scheme Management) are creating detailed Certification documents for EPI members which specify how the certification is performed. These documents will be Annexes of the EPI Certification and Approval Framework.
💥 Your impact
You will implement all the roles needed to run the Framework and the processes defined in it, to make EPI’s certification and approval scheme fully operational as soon as possible.
You will set up the EPI Security and Functional Certification Bodies and the Approval Body, as well as the administrative processes described in the above-mentioned documentation to issue EPI certificates and approvals for the defined certification and approval objects.
You will coordinate the cooperation with the Legal Team to define the approval contracts and other tasks legally relevant.
You will cooperate closely with the EPI Operations and Product experts and with other EPI teams for further evolution and maintenance of the EPI Certification and Approval Framework. This applies, in particular, to:
- the EPI test plan and test tool development,
- the implementation and maintenance of the functional testing and security evaluation for EPI members and for EPI’s own systems.

You would have already started to build, together with other colleagues, the certification processes and procedures. But we are only in the early stages and you will be a key pillar in the upcoming work.
🕵🏻♀️ To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements
- Deep knowledge on :
- payment schemes, including detailed experience in how to test and evaluate payment components.
- compliance, certification and approval frameworks, roles and responsibilities.

- At least two years of experience in running a certification and approval framework.
- Organisational skills to set up the defined committees according to their tasks, to organise their launch, and to coordinate their operation.
- Excellent command of English; French and/or German fluency is a significant plus.
- Being a well-known person in the European Certification Ecosystem will be a plus as well.

You will report to Carmen, the EPI Chief Scheme Officer, who has an impressive international career of over 20 years in payments. In her team, you will closely work with Regine and you will also interact with colleagues of other areas of the company, such as Thierry, Antonio, or Viktor. You will meet some of them in the recruitment process
