🚀 Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays
In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated: random delays and confusing rules make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever.
With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium and Germany, with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 14 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.
🔎 What's in it for you
Done testing products that don't matter? EPI builds infrastructure for European financial sovereignty—every payment flow you validate, every edge case you uncover directly impacts millions of users and the future of independent European payments.
Fed up with being siloed in a QA corner with no voice? You'll collaborate directly with Product, Engineering, and Design as the advocate for end-user experience, with real ownership over test environments, processes, and the evolution of our mobile testing practices.
At EPI, we embrace a remote-first culture, enabling our teams to work remotely from the country they are based in, with in-person meetings at least once a quarter to foster collaboration and connection.
🐝 About the team
You'll join a distributed team of 8 experienced developers across Europe, led by Arthur— bringing your QA expertise to a squad that values quality as a shared responsibility.
💥 Your impact
Validate every NFC payment flow across diverse devices and OS versions, uncovering edge cases in network loss, transaction failures, and hardware interactions before they reach production.
Own and evolve our mobile test environments, maintaining POS devices, device labs, and integrations to ensure reliable, repeatable testing for a distributed engineering team.
Act as the voice of quality and end-user experience throughout the development lifecycle, bridging Product, Engineering, and Design to catch risks early and ensure features meet both functional and security requirements.
Enhance our mobile testing practices across iOS and Android platforms, documenting processes, refining regression suites, and gradually transitioning repetitive tests toward automation.
💻 Technology stack

🕵🏻♀️ To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements
Proven experience in manual and exploratory testing of native mobile applications (iOS and Android)
Strong ability to design and execute test scenarios for complex user journeys, including payment flows, onboarding, and security-sensitive features

Experience with scripting or lightweight automation (Python, shell, or mobile testing tools) to improve test coverage would be a plus
Familiarity with NFC payment technology, POS devices, or fintech testing would be nice to have
Thrive in a remote-first, distributed team environment across Europe
