🚀 Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays
In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated: random delays and confusing rules make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever.
With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium and Germany, with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 14 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.
🔎 What's in it for you
Tired of delivering notes and proposals without knowing how your recommendations will be implemented? You want to leave your consulting firm and work on a meaningful project? You want to have an impact on a truly innovative large scale European product? You're interested in joining a start up supported by some of the largest European banks? This job might be for you.
💥 Your impact
You will report to our Chief Integration Officer and work closely with the broader executive team to drive EPI’s transformation strategy and post-merger integration efforts. This role sits at the core of EPI’s ambition to become a leading pan-European payments champion, ensuring seamless alignment between integration and transformational strategic goals as well as operational execution.
You will contribute to achieving our Target Operating Model (TOM) - our big-picture vision - by supporting the integration of Payconiq and iDEAL into EPI, while also driving broader transformation and strategic coordination efforts across the group.
Your key responsibilities:

- Oversee cross-functional strategic topics that span Legal, Finance, HR, and other departments ensuring structure and progress.
- Own overall responsibility for specific current and future acquisitions or joint ventures, including synergy planning, cultural alignment, and process integration.
- Support strategic planning across business units, ensuring cross-departmental initiatives align with long-term company goals.
- Coordinate strategic governance activities, including alignment across subsidiaries and preparation for management or supervisory board engagements.
- Contribute to select strategic focus areas such as organizational design, geographic expansion strategy, group-level planning, and intercompany structuring.
- Monitor and report on transformation performance metrics and KPIs to ensure execution stays on track.
- Provide structured insights and recommendations to the C-level through data-driven analysis and high-quality executive communication.
